How long does a referral last?

As long as your attribution window: 60 days by default, up to 365. The Referzen script keeps the referral in a first-party cookie (rz_ref) on your own domain. If the visitor later clicks another affiliate's link, the last click wins.

Do recurring commissions work with Stripe subscriptions?

Yes. Pass the referral to Stripe Checkout as client_reference_id or metadata and add the Referzen webhook. The first payment and every renewal are credited automatically: for the first payment only, a set number of months or the customer's lifetime, as you choose.

What happens when a customer gets a refund?

Refunds and disputes from Stripe, WooCommerce and Shopify reverse the matching commission automatically. Commissions also wait out your hold period (30 days by default) before they become payable, so refunded orders never reach a payout.

How are affiliates paid?

You pay them: Referzen never holds or moves your money. When commissions are due, export a PayPal Payouts CSV (upload it in PayPal to pay everyone at once) or a bank CSV, send the payments and mark the batch as paid. Affiliates get an email and see the payout in their portal.

How do you stop affiliate fraud?

A conversion is flagged when the buyer is the affiliate, when the sale comes from the affiliate's own browser, or when the customer was already credited to someone else. Flagged commissions are never approved automatically; you decide. Repeated clicks are de-duplicated without storing IP addresses.

Can affiliates sign up on their own?

Yes. Every program has a public sign-up page in its branded portal. Approve each application yourself or let affiliates in automatically, and invite partners by email whenever you like.
